With more than half of all New Yorkers having received at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, our state has made tremendous progress in reopening and families can expect to resume many aspects of their lives from before the pandemic. But, we must continue this progress and encourage everyone to help do their part.

As we continue the reopening process, many of the state's COVID-19 safety guidelines have changed and several restrictions have been relaxed or removed, signaling that we are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. While social distancing and mask wearing for unvaccinated individuals is still required, much of our state's businesses are preparing for a summer of fun approaching normalcy. Vaccination eligibility continues to expand. All New Yorkers age 12 and above are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and many sites do not require appointments.
