Leader Brian M. Kolb & Assembly Minority Conference Welcome New Member Ronald Castorina Jr.
Castorina To Represent 62nd District; Sworn In Today At Albany Ceremony

Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) and his colleagues today proudly welcomed Ronald Castorina Jr. (R,C,I,Ref-South Shore), representing the 62nd Assembly District, to the Minority Conference at a public swearing-in ceremony at the state Capitol in Albany. Castorina took his official Oath of Office among family, friends, dignitaries and the media. The Hon. Kevin J. Engel, Esq., East Greenbush Town Justice, presided over the event.

Castorina brings an appreciation for civic duty, a great work ethic, and a vast array of knowledge and experience from his service in the New York Guard Army Division and his law practice.

"I am incredibly proud to welcome Ronald Castorina Jr. to the Assembly Minority Conference. His dedication to his community and constituents is remarkable and we are fortunate to have him join our ranks. The residents of the 62nd Assembly District have a hard-working, considerate and intelligent advocate in Albany and I know he will represent their interests and our conference with passion and integrity," Leader Kolb said.

Castorina expressed excitement at the opportunity to represent Staten Islanders as a member of the Legislature.

"As a representative in the Assembly, I will work to ensure all New Yorkers, especially those in my district, are safe, have a fair chance at economic prosperity, and have the quality of life they deserve. I will vigorously advocate for veterans, a transparent voting process, and work toward a solution to the growing heroin and opioid crisis plaguing Staten Island," said Castorina. "I want to thank Leader Kolb and the entire Minority Conference for their assistance, and I'm looking forward getting to work. I am excited at the chance to roll up my sleeves and tackle these critical issues facing New Yorkers."
