TITLE OF BILL:
An act in relation to prohibiting the relocation of migrants from the
City of New York to Dutchess county
 
PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL:
Prevents the City of New York from relocating migrants to Dutchess Coun-
ty.
 
SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any provisions of law, rule or regulation 2
to the contrary, no person or entity shall relocate migrants from any 3
location within the City of New York to any location within the county 4
of Dutchess, state of New York, for the purpose of permanent or tempo-
rary housing. 6 . 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

JUSTIFICATION:
Due to the financial and infrastructural restraints of the County of
Dutchess. The county would be forced to eliminate critical services that
residents rely on daily. This bill would establish that Dutchess County
is not a sanctuary county.

AN ACT in relation to prohibiting the relocation of migrants from the

The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any provisions of law, rule or regulation
2 to the contrary, no person or entity shall relocate migrants from any
3 location within the City of New York to any location within the county
4 of Dutchess, state of New York, for the purpose of permanent or tempo-
5 rary housing.
6 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
