Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund Revenues Are $76.98 Million for First Ten Months of 2016 Compared With $81.55 Million In 2015

Revenues Are 5.6% LOWER than Last Year; Cumulative CPF Revenues Total $1.171 Billion

Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I-Sag Harbor) today reported that 2016 revenues for the Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund (CPF) for the first ten months produced revenue of $76.98 million. A year ago $81.55 million was collected for the same period, or 5.6% percent LESS than last year. October revenues totaled $8.08 million. CPF revenues for the same month last year were $9.69 million or 16.6% LESS than a year ago.

Since its inception on 1999, the Peconic Bay Regional Community Preservation Fund has generated $1.171 billion. The CPF has generated $95.73 million in the last 12 months.

Thiele stated, "The CPF revenues in the first ten months of 2016 are less than 2015 by 5.6%. CPF revenues are on pace to exceed $90 million for the year. Nearly all of the decline over the past year can be attributed to the Town of Southampton which has seen revenues dipped by $5.73 million."
