Thiele: East End Organizations Awarded Arts & Cultural Programming Funding

New York State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I, D, WF, WE-Sag Harbor) today announced that New York State has awarded over $41 million to 1,230 cultural and arts organizations throughout the State to support the creation of visual, performing, literary, and media arts, as well as arts education, economic development through the arts, and cultural programs for underserved populations. Long Island organizations were awarded over $1million, and those serving the South Fork nearly $260,000. They are listed as follows:

  • Bay Street Theater - $15,000
  • Bridgehampton Chamber Music Association - $9,000
  • Children’s Museum of the East End - $17,860
  • East End Arts & Hum Council - $44,000
  • Friends of the Cultural Center, Inc., Southampton - $15,000
  • Guild Hall of East Hampton - $8,000
  • Hallockville, Inc. - $3,700
  • Hamptons International Film Festival - $10,000
  • Montauk Music Chamber Society - $10,000
  • Parrish Art Museum - $81,500
  • Suffolk County Historical Society - $10,000
  • Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center - $35,000
