Fitzpatrick Opposes The Assembly Majority Budget

Statement from Assemblyman Michael Fitzpatrick (R,C,I,Ref-Smithtown)

“I am disappointed by the Assembly Majority’s proposed budget which employs some interesting and contrary approaches to wise budgeting. It is an irresponsible plan that would increase taxes on New Yorkers by $2 billion, give no purpose for, and withhold, $535 million worth of excess funds, and does little to nothing to create savings in government. We must do better in the final budget for our residents.”
