Assemblyman Andrew Raia (R,I,C-East Northport) and the Copenhagen Bakery recently completed their annual Toys for Tots drive for this holiday season. The box was overflowing with gifts that were donated by the local community.

Toys for Tots is an annual program organized by the U.S. Marine Corps. New, unwrapped toys are collected throughout the holiday months of November and December to provide needy children in the community with gifts on Christmas day. Assemblyman Raia joins with the Copenhagen Bakery every year to help collect toys for the cause.

“I would like to take the time to thank our community for participating in our annual holiday toy drive,” said Raia. “Toys for Tots is a great program put on by the Marines and it brings holiday cheer to the less fortunate families in our community. Even though times are tough for many, people still came out and donated gifts. The generosity this community shows year after year is nothing short of amazing.”
