Assemblyman Curran, L.I. Nets to Host Basketball Clinic

August 3, 2017

Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st A.D.) has recently announced that he will be hosting a free local basketball clinic along with the Long Island Nets, in Baldwin on Aug. 30 at Baldwin Park. The clinic will be open to children ages 6 through 13 and will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“This is an exciting opportunity for local children to get professional basketball instruction from up and coming pro players,” said Curran. “Not only will the Long Island Nets players instruct participants in basketball skills, but they will also teach team work, responsibility and leadership skills – all things that are important both on the court and in life.”

The clinic is open to 50 - 70 children and will teach the fundamentals of the game, including passing, shooting, dribbling, and conditioning. Please register your child before the slots fill up by calling Assemblyman Curran’s office at 516-561-8216. Basketballs will be provided for use at the clinic.
