Pheffer Amato Throws First Rockaway Little League Pitch

This past Saturday morning, April 29th at Fort Tilden, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Rockaway) threw out the ceremonial first pitch of the Rockaway Little League season. On hand for the Opening Day Gala were parents, Little Leaguers and other elected officials, including New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer and State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. “What a fun day this was,” said Pheffer Amato. “What a great program. I’m especially honored to be chosen for the opening pitch by an organization that gives back beyond the usual benefits of organized Little League, including programs like the Challenger Division, which includes children with mental and physical handicaps. There are so many reasons to love the Rockaway Little League, so I hope I did them justice with my throw! “I look forward to many more years of advocating for great programs like this one in Albany,” the Assemblywoman concluded.
