This past Saturday, June 10th, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Neponsit) presented awards to congregants of the West End Temple in Neponsit, on the occasion of the Temple’s 77th Anniversary Gala. “It was a terrific night, and it was a great pleasure to honor these selfless, energetic leaders in the Temple community,” said Pheffer Amato.

“West End does so much tikkun olam [‘repair of the world,’ the Hebrew term for charity and good works] in the community, as well as its regular programming,” continued Pheffer Amato. “So they depend on enterprising, big-hearted men, women and children to get it all done. And get it done they do. It was a great honor to be there for the Gala, and I appreciate the Temple community for inviting me out!”
