Rozic Testifies Before New York City Council on Anti-BDS Resolution

New York, NY – Today, State Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D,WF-Fresh Meadows) submitted testimony to the New York City Council Committee on Contracts regarding Resolution 1058-A, which condemns all efforts to delegitimize the State of Israel and the global movement to boycott, divest from, and sanction the people of Israel.

“The BDS movement aims to cut off the strong interactions, dialogue, and partnerships that exist between New York and Israel,” said Assemblywoman Rozic, the first Israeli-born state legislator. “This bipartisan resolution sends a strong message that New York City will not tolerate any anti-Semitic or anti-Israel movement.”

Rozic has long been a leading voice on the state’s efforts to support Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish, democratic state, including sponsoring a bill in Assembly to keep in place the state’s existing sanctions against Iranian nuclear ambitions and terrorist campaigns.
