On Friday September 29, Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan joined community leaders, fellow elected officials, school leaders, parents, students and residents to cut the ribbon on the new school building at P.S. 11Q in Woodside. “Our students deserve modern facilities" said Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan. “I would like to thank Chancellor Farina and School Construction Authority President Lorraine Grillo for getting this project completed for both our Woodside and Western Queens students. As the Chair of the Assembly Education Committee, I have made it my priority to secure additional funding for the city of New York to build additional schools so we can continue to bring down the class size and overcrowding in both District 24 and 30.”
