The Caribbean Research Center at Medgar Evers College, Black Women for Fairness & Equity, and Assemblywoman Diana C. Richardson, this year's 2017 Chair, invite you to participate in our 6th Annual Shirley Chisholm Women's Empowerment "Defining the Conference,Moment, Building the Movement." This event will be held March 18, 2017 at Medgar Evers College on 1638 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, New York and will begin at 9AM. This annual event is held in honor of the late Shirley Anita Hill Chisholm who was a renowned educator, politician, speaker and author and served as the first African American Congresswoman and first major-party black presidential candidate. In addition, we anticipate scores of attendees for an extraordinary time of empowering and engaging discussions. This panel will provide a platform for the brightest minds in government, the community and academia, to look back on the groundwork made by our predecessors to 'Define [this] Moment,' and acknowledge the work being done now to help 'Build [a] Movement.'
