Assemblymember Mayer and Other Yonkers State Representatives Set to Host Excelsior Scholarship Forum

Elected official representing Yonkers will host community meeting to answer questions about the new Excelsior Scholarship which seeks to make SUNY & CUNY tuition free

Yonkers, NY - On Monday, June 26, Yonkers state legislators will be joined by a representative from NYS's Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) for a forum set to answer questions about the new Excelsior Scholarship which was included in the 2017-18 NYS Budget. The Excelsior Scholarship seeks to make SUNY & CUNY tuition free for many students who would otherwise be unable to afford college. The forum will provide students, parents, educators, and advocates an opportunity to learn about the program and have their questions answered regarding the process and who is eligible.
