Zebrowski to Co-Sponsor Veteran Cemetery Desecration Bill

Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski, announced today that he will be co-sponsoring Assembly Bill 3518 which would make it a class E felony to desecrate a military grave. Zebrowski was contacted by a constituent who has had personal items stolen from a veteran family member’s grave in Rockland County.

"Cemeteries are sacred places, anyone who would desecrate or steal items from a grave has an indifference to society. To steal items from a veteran, who has sacrificed for our country, is a particular affront to our community. Our criminal laws should reflect the callousness of these crimes."

In addition to co-sponsoring the bill and fighting for its passage, Zebrowski has offered to seek state funding to provide surveillance cameras or other security measures for veterans cemeteries.

"I am willing to help in any way to secure these cemeteries for our veterans and their families," concluded Zebrowski.
