Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C,I-Deerpark) opened the 2017 Legislative Session this week in Albany pushing for better use of our tax dollars and a continued focus on bipartisanship. Brabenec was reappointed as the Ranking Minority Member of the Assembly Labor Committee and will also serve on the Cities, Local Governments, Aging and Election Law Committees.

“I am proud to once again serve on several highly regarded committees, and embrace the opportunity to safeguard taxpayers from dangerous and misguided legislation before it reaches the Assembly Chamber for a vote,” Brabenec said. “As top priorities, I will work to cut taxes, end Common Core, legalize ridesharing services and hold corrupt lawmakers accountable. As I’ve said time and time again, bipartisanship and the ability to work with interests from across the state is the best solution to Albany’s gridlock and my focus will remain on delivering results for my constituents regardless of who gets the credit.”
