Assemblymember McDonald Welcomes Kosovo Delegation to the Capitol

ALBANY, N.Y. – Assemblymember John T. McDonald III and the International Center of the Capital Region welcomed international visitors from the Republic of Kosovo to the Assembly Chambers as part of the Open World Leadership Program. The delegation consisted of political and civic leaders selected through a competitive vetting process.

Open World recruits leaders who came of age in the post-Soviet era and is one of the most effective U.S. exchange programs with post-Soviet countries. While in the United States, delegates take part in tailored, in-depth exchanges with legislators and American government officials, jurists, nongovernmental organizations, universities, and sister cities in themes of interest and of transnational impact, including Urban Planning/Development. In this way, Open World supports the Eurasian-related interests, projects, and partnerships of Americans across the country.
