Rensselaer County Honor-A-Vet Recognizes Charles Wilfred Straub

Rensselaer, NY – On April 13, 2015, Assemblymember John T. McDonald III and Assemblymember Steven McLaughlin, along with several other elected officials, honored the late Charles Wilfred Straub for his service to his country. Straub, born in 1954 in Troy, began his service with the United States Military in 1973. He was awarded several medals including the National Defense Service Medal. After serving in the Military, Straub dedicated thirty-four years of service to the Watervliet Arsenal.

Rensselaer County Veterans Bureau, as well as all those present including his family and friends, were honored to pay tribute to Charles W. Straub, a man who cared deeply about his family and his service to his country.
