“Tax relief for the hardworking families of Upstate New York remains a top priority, and today I’m proud to announce important legislation that will do just that for our area and taxpayers across the state."

“The state Assembly has introduced a bill I am sponsoring that will cut income taxes for middle class New Yorkers who pay some of the highest taxes in the nation. This legislation (A.9179) reduces income taxes for people earning between $40,000 and $150,000 and allows our families to keep more of their hard-earned money. The bill will also expand the Earned Income Tax Credit to provide much-needed tax relief to lower-income working families who need it most.
