Assemblywoman Woerner Announces Spring into Upstate NY Photo Contest

In an effort to feature the artistic talents of local students and the unique qualities of communities in Saratoga and Washington counties, Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner (D-Round Lake) is hosting her first annual Spring into Upstate NY photo contest. “Saratoga and Washington counties are unparalleled in their scenic and historic beauty,” Assemblywoman Woerner said. “This photo contest is an opportunity for students to capture and celebrate the places—from village downtowns to the Hudson Riverfront—that make our piece of Upstate New York great.” Local students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to enter either color or black and white photos that have been taken within the past year into the photo contest. The entries, which must be submitted by June 15, should be identifiable to local communities in Saratoga and Washington counties. To submit an entry into the contest, students should:

  • download the Spring into Upstate NY photo contest entry form at bit.ly/WoernerPhoto;
  • fill out the entry form completely; and
  • either email the entry form and photo to WoernerC@nyassembly.gov with “Photo Contest” in the subject line by June 15, or mail the materials to Assemblywoman Woerner’s district office: Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner
    112 Spring St., Suite 109
    Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
Each participant will receive a New York State Assembly certificate of merit, and the contest winner will be invited to meet Assemblywoman Woerner at her office and have his/her photo featured in future communications with our neighbors.
