Assemblyman Jones: Trooper Brian S. Falb Was a True Hero

“Today, the North Country mourns the loss of State Police Trooper Brian S. Falb. Trooper Falb bravely answered the call of duty following the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11 to aid in search-and-recovery efforts. It is with a heavy heart that I’ve learned that the injuries he sustained that day have taken his life.

“A devoted husband and father, Falb put his life on the line to help keep our community safe. For the past 18 years he was assigned to Troop B and worked in Clinton and Franklin counties. More recently, he worked to enforce traffic laws, respond to major crashes, inspect commercial vehicles and investigate auto thefts.

“Trooper Falb’s passing is yet another reminder of the countless sacrifices our officers make to protect the people of New York. We will forever honor Trooper Falb’s selfless acts of courage. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.”
