Blankenbush Named to ‘Circle of Friends’

Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C,I-Black River) has once again been awarded the New York State Farm Bureau’s “Circle of Friends” award for the sixth consecutive year. Blankenbush received this award for his support for agricultural issues and representing the interests of the farming community in the state Legislature this past year.

“I am honored to once again be considered a friend of the farmers across this state,” said Blankenbush. “The men and women of our agriculture industry are some of the hardest-working people you will meet, and it’s important I continue to address their concerns and expectations in Albany every week.”

The “Circle of Friends” honor is comprised of a legislator’s voting record on agricultural issues, sponsorship of legislation favorable to New York’s farmers, and other legislative activities seen as pro-farmer.

“Sometimes it becomes a struggle getting the New York City legislators to understand why certain bills are so harmful to our farming community, but it is important we continue to stand together and make sure our farmers’ voices are heard,” said Blankenbush.
