Blankenbush Meets With Servicemen from Fort Drum

Yesterday, Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C,I-Black River) joined his colleagues in welcoming the servicemen and women who are stationed at Fort Drum to Albany. Each year, Albany hosts a “Fort Drum Day,” when service members demonstrate the importance installations like Fort Drum have in communities across the state, speak with their representatives, and field any questions civilians may have.

“Legislative days such as ‘Fort Drum Day’ are crucial because they allow the men and women of the base to demonstrate various skills and provide in-depth information about their involvement in the community,” said Blankenbush. “I want to thank these service members for coming to the capital and informing those who have no experience living near an installation, what life is like and how the community and military work together.”
