Barclay Calls for Increased Transparency during Sunshine Week

Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I,Ref-Pulaski) called for increased transparency in New York State government during Sunshine Week, which is being observed through Saturday, March 18. This initiative advocates for an open government where citizens have knowledge and an understanding about what their elected officials are doing.

“Sunshine Week highlights the need to uphold high ethical standards and the importance of an open government for all citizens,” said Barclay. “Cases of secrecy and corruption are too common in state government. This budget season, I am urging for an open process—one that is transparent and includes the full legislature”
