Palmesano, O’Mara And Friend Support Finger Lakes Agriculture

Assemblyman Phil Palmesano (R,C,I-Corning), Assemblyman Christopher S. Friend (R,C,I-Big Flats) and Sen. Tom O’Mara (R,C,I-Big Flats) were pleased to welcome Scott Osborn, President of Fox Run Vineyards, and Suzy Hayes of Miles Wine Cellars at last week’s NYS Wine and Cheese Tasting Reception.

The event was sponsored by Palmesano and O’Mara. It also was sponsored by Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I-Canandaigua), Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Patricia Ritchie, and Sen. Michael Nozzolio.

“We enjoyed having Scott, Suzy and other wine and cheese producers from across the Finger Lakes region at the NYS tasting reception. It is important that we make every effort to continue to promote New York wine, cheese and other agricultural products. The success of Finger Lakes farms and vineyards is essential to our regional identity and our state,” said the legislators in a joint statement.

The Finger Lakes region is one of the preeminent destinations for wine enthusiasts in the U.S. There are nearly 100 wineries, breweries and distilleries near Cayuga, Seneca and Keuka lakes.
