Hawley to Tour Devastation along Lake Ontario Shoreline

Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,C,I-Batavia) announced today that he will be touring several locations along the Lake Ontario shoreline on Friday to view the devastation firsthand and draw attention to the dire conditions faced by residents and businesses. Many elected officials and local representatives have been invited to join Hawley on the tour, including: President Trump, U.S. Sens. Gillibrand and Schumer, U.S. Congressman Chris Collins, Gov. Cuomo, State Sens. Rob Ortt and Joe Robach, Orleans County Legislative Chairman David Callard, Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo, Monroe County Legislator Mike Rockow, Orleans County Chief Administrative Officer Charles Nesbitt Jr. and a host of Orleans and Monroe county town supervisors, highway superintendents and county legislators. The group will be visiting the towns of Yates, Carlton, Kendall and Hamlin. “The devastation along the Lake Ontario shoreline has reached monumental proportions,” Hawley said. “I have reached out to many high-profile elected officials from all over the state, and even the White House for assistance and to join me on this endeavor and I am hopeful that, through a collaborative effort, we can bring relief to the many residents and businesses who have been displaced due to this disaster.”
