Morinello Thanks State Troopers

Today, Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello (R,C,I,Ref-Niagara Falls) is thanking the men and women of our state police. For over 100 years, the State Troopers have served as New York’s law enforcement and have provided safety and security to those in all corners of the state. He is also highlighting the wonderful career opportunity that the state police can offer to those young adults out of college or in their mid to late twenties.

“Thank you to the men and women who put on the uniform and badge day and night to protect the families of New York State from those who wish to do harm, and for lending a helping hand to those who are in need,” said Morinello. “I encourage any young person looking to make a change in their career to explore the options available to them with the New York State Troopers.”

The New York State Troopers are made up of almost 5,000 officers who serve in a variety of specialized positions such as aviation, bomb disposal, collision recreation, commercial vehicle enforcement, computer crimes, forensic and evidence collection, K-9 handler and special operations response team.

The deadline for application to take this year’s NYS Trooper entrance exam is September 1, with the test being administered in October. For those interested in learning more, please contact your local recruitment office at 1-866-697-7392, or visit the law enforcement’s website at www.NYTROOPER.com
