Graf Announces Annual Easter Basket Drive
Assemblyman Al Graf (R,C,I–Holbrook) today announced his annual Easter Basket Drive to benefit victims of domestic violence and said he will be accepting donations at his district office in Holbrook.
“For families fleeing domestic violence there is no sense of normalcy. They take anything they can carry and they leave an abusive situation with oftentimes no more than the shirt on their backs,” said Graf. “These types of situations impact children the most. So, once again, we are partnering with the Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk (VIBS) to provide Easter baskets and smiles to those children. Each year our community has shown its generosity and kindness by donating to this wonderful cause. I am asking our residents to please help us make this the most successful year yet for this event.”
Over the past six years, the assemblyman’s Easter Basket Drive has collected hundreds of baskets for VIBS. The organization distributes the baskets full of toys, candy and essential hygiene products to families fleeing domestic violence situations.
Graf’s office will be accepting donations of Easter baskets, candy, toys and hygienic products until Wednesday, March 23. The assemblyman’s district office is located at 991 Main Street, Suite 202 in Holbrook.
