Assemblyman Al Graf (R,C,I,Ref-Holbrook) had the privilege of honoring Lee Ann Brill, 2017 Ms. Senior New York, to the Assembly Chamber this month. Brill has been a longtime resident of Lake Ronkonkoma, located in Graf’s district. Brill is known for her diverse background in music, musical theatre and cabaret. She has continuously given back to the community, performing at fundraisers and Veteran’s Day ceremonies throughout the community. This October, she will be competing in Atlantic City for the national title of 2017 Ms. Senior America; she hopes to bring the crown back to Lake Ronkonkoma.
“It was an honor to introduce Lee Ann Brill to the Assembly Chamber,” said Graf. “Her resume speaks for itself; she has worked extremely hard in her pursuit of a career in music and is a role model for our community. Her dedication to the community and our veterans is truly humbling. I am looking forward to her bringing the Ms. Senior America crown to Lake Ronkonkoma in October.”
Ms. Senior New York is a competition for women 60 and older and is based on their life accomplishments, evening gown presentation and talent. As a singer, Brill performed “To Dream the Impossible Dream” during the Ms. Senior New York competition. Brill hopes to share her gift of music as the 2017 Ms. Senior New York Queen and is very proud to represent women 60 and older who believe in themselves, remain active in their careers and are still reaching for their dreams.
“Lee Ann Brill’s love of music and her pursuit of a musical career is inspirational,” said Graf. “She loves to share her gift, and is dedicated to representing Lake Ronkonkoma and New York as Ms. Senior New York Queen. I wish her the best of luck this October in her pursuit of the national title of 2017 Ms. Senior America.”
