Oaks Votes Against Tax-Ridden One-House Budget

A Statement from Assemblyman Bob Oaks (R,C-Macedon)
March 14, 2018

The Assembly Majority’s one-house budget relies heavily on taxes and increased debt to finance out of control spending. We must be more fiscally accountable by stopping the ‘tax-and-spend’ mentality of this chamber and do more to reduce the tax burden on New Yorkers.

As we continue the budget process, I will be focused on working towards a fiscally responsible budget that includes long term tax relief to help stop the exodus of New Yorkers to other states where the cost of living and doing business is more affordable.
