Legislative Session Failed To Address Ethics Reform

A Statement from Assemblyman Clifford W. Crouch (R-Bainbridge)
June 20, 2018

ďI am truly disheartened at this sessionís lack of real ethics reform measures. How can we leave Albany today without addressing the ethical abuses that have plagued Albany for decades? With Joe Percoco being convicted on federal corruption charges just a short time ago, and Alain Kaloyeros facing indictment himself, both in relation to the governorís economic development programs itís frustrating to see no movement on ethics reform legislation. Although we accomplished many great things for our state this session, including record funding for the heroin and opioid epidemic, and an increase in funding for our schools, I canít help but feel as if we fell short without passing ethics reform measures.Ē
