Reforming Albany 2018

February 13, 2018

Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) is pleased to announce his support of the rules reforms that were just considered in the Assembly. DiPietro is particularly supportive of a provision, the change limiting committee chair terms to 8 years. This, along with a multitude of other changes to the Assembly rules, would increase transparency and raise the bar of ethical standards in Albany.

“The consideration of these rule reforms is very inspiring,” DiPietro said. “With the pallid air of corruption that hangs around New York, being able to discuss this legislation on the floor shows us that we really are eager to change the paradigm in Albany. Having long been a proponent of limiting term limits of these chairs, I am encouraged by this discussion. With this new resolve I will continue to fight to make our state government transparent and respectable.”
