McDonough Welcomes West Point Cadets

Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) recently welcomed Superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point, General David Huntoon, and his wife, Margaret, to the New York State Assembly Chamber for West Point Day. General and Mrs. Huntoon joined West Point cadets for a day honoring the young men and women who dedicate themselves to service.

“It was my privilege to welcome General and Mrs. Huntoon to the New York State Assembly’s West Point Day,” said McDonough. “The West Point motto is ‘Duty, Honor, Country,’ and you could not find a better set of people to represent these words than General Huntoon and his group of cadets. There have been many great men and women who have worn the uniform of a West Point Cadet, and I am very confident that this fine group will be the next generation of statesmen, business leaders and thinkers. Being around these cadets should remind us that the United States Military is the finest military ever assembled.”
