Murray Reacts To 2018 State Of The State

A Statement from Assemblyman Dean Murray (R,C,I-East Patchogue)
January 3, 2018

“Although I agree with some of the governor’s proposals such as combating sexual harassment and assault, it appears he governor is using this list of policy proposals not to improve the lives of New Yorkers but to increase his chances of becoming president.

“It is hypocrisy at its core when the governor proclaims to help middle-class families then burdens them with the cost of numerous unfunded mandates. Programs like these will surely open the door to increased taxes and fees in Suffolk County.

“Furthermore, there was little mention of primary education issues like APPR.

“I will be working this year to make the lives of Suffolk County families more affordable and prosperous, despite what appears to be a governor that attempts to do the opposite.”
