Lack Of Responsibility & More Spending Highlight 2018 Exec. Budget

A Statement from Assemblyman Dean Murray (R,C,I-East Patchogue) on Gov. Cuomo’s Executive Budget Proposal
January 16, 2018

“Hang on to your wallets ladies and gentlemen because when politicians refuse to cut spending, that means taxes are on the way.

“We spend roughly $160 billion each year in taxpayer money, near the top of all states in the union, and yet we cannot find ways to save taxpayer money and eliminate waste, fraud and abuse?

“It is unfortunate and a great disservice to New Yorkers that Gov. Cuomo’s Executive Budget proposal was nothing more than an exercise in finger pointing and blaming.

“While he continues to deflect blame and gripe about how difficult this budget year will be, the facts are clear – New York doesn’t have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem.
