Assemblyman Braunstein Announces Women’s History Month Art Contest Winner

Assemblyman Edward C. Braunstein (D-Bayside) announced the winner of his Women’s History Month Art Contest, which required participants to draw a picture of a woman who they admire.

The winner of this year’s contest is Tiffany Zheng, a 6th Grade student at IS 25: Adrien Block School in Auburndale. Tiffany drew a portrait of Bessie Coleman, who was the first woman of African American descent to earn a pilot’s license.

“Congratulations to Tiffany. Nearly 250 students from schools in Queens participated in my Women’s History Month Art Contest and I was extremely impressed with their talented drawings,” said Assemblyman Braunstein.

Tiffany received a gift card from Amazon and her portrait of Bessie Coleman will appear on the cover of next year’s contest brochure.
