"When we build that skyline in New York, it should be built on the sweat not the blood of our workers. And we should be better as a body that we are now going forward to protect those workers who go out there every day, say goodbye to their families, work the jobs that are the hardest ones to do and we should ensure that they come back home safe and sound to kiss their families when they come home at night," said Assemblymember Moya as he spoke about legislation that seeks to protect workers from employers and supervisors that negligently fail to comply with safety protocols (A2966B).
