Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I-Sag Harbor) today reported that revenues for the Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund (CPF) for the first nine months of 2015 produced revenue of $71.86 million. A year ago $71.82 million was collected for the same period, or 0.1% more than last year. September revenues totaled $7.31 million. CPF revenues for the same month last year were $7.68 million. Since its inception in 1999, the Peconic Bay Regional Community Preservation Fund has generated $1.064 billion. The CPF has generated $107.83 million in the last 12 months. The number of transactions for the first nine months of 2015 was 5,667 compared with 4,871 a year ago.

Thiele stated, "The CPF revenues in the first nine months of 2015 exceed 2014 by 0.1%. 2014 was the largest year for CPF revenues in the history of the program. This reflects the continued strength and stability in East End real estate and the continued availability to local Towns of the necessary revenues to protect community character. At the 3/4 year mark, CPF revenues are on track to produce more than $95 million."
