Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund Revenues are $61.53 Million for First Eight Months of 2016 Compared with $64.55 Million in 2015

Revenues Are 4.7% LOWER than Last Year; Cumulative CPF Revenues Total $1.156 Billion

Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I-Sag Harbor) today reported that 2016 revenues for the Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund (CPF) for the first eight months produced revenue of $61.53 million. A year ago $64.55 million was collected for the same period, or 4.7% percent LESS than last year. July revenues totaled $6.68 million. CPF revenues for the same month last year were $6.36 million, or 5.0% MORE than a year ago.

Since its inception on 1999, the Peconic Bay Regional Community Preservation Fund has generated $1.1569 billion. The CPF has generated $101.94 million in the last 12 months.

Thiele stated, "The CPF revenues in the first eight months of 2016 are less than 2015 by 4.7%. This ends a trend where for five consecutive months CPF revenues were less than the same month in 2015. Over the last six months CPF revenues were $42.64 million compared with $49.23 million a year ago or a 13.4% decline. CPF revenues are on pace to exceed $90 million for the year."
