Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund Revenues Total $8.94 Million in May 2018

Fund Generates $40.53 Million for the First 5 Months of 2018; Compared With $38.07 Million a Year Ago, or 6.5% More Than 2017

Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I, D, WF, WE - Sag Harbor) today reported that 2018 revenues for the Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund for the first 5 months produced revenue of $40.53 million. A year ago, $38.07 million was collected for the same period. This represents a 6.5% increase. Since its inception in 1999, the Peconic Bay Regional Community Preservation Fund has generated $1.323 billion. The 2% tax under the CPF expires in 2050.
