Don’t Let the Administration Call USA Today’s Investigation Fake News A statement by Assemblyman Gary D. Finch (R,C,I-Springport)
Scathing audits from the comptroller’s office. Bid-rigging and influence peddling at the heart of the administration. And now, an independent investigation from the USA Today Network confirming what I have been saying, over and over again , for years: billions and billions of taxpayer dollars have lined the pockets of politically-connected developers but haven’t done a thing to create jobs for the middle class.
“Before session is over, both houses of the Legislature must pass Sen. DeFrancisco’s bill to bring checks and balances back to state government and empower the comptroller to stand up to the administration.
“We need to send a strong, bipartisan message and show the governor that the Legislature stands with the middle class and not the donor class,” said Finch.
