Assemblyman Bronson: Ethics Proposal Will Help End Cycle of Corruption in Government

“The Assembly Majority has put forward a solid plan to restore public trust and end the outrageous cycle of corruption in government. These no-nonsense changes include eliminating, real or perceived conflicts of interest, closing the LLC loophole on campaign contributions, increasing openness and transparency and sending a clear message that if you cross the legal line you will be punished.

“Our proposal of which I am a co-sponsor, will also limit outside income for state legislators, remove shadow campaign contributions and increase the reporting of outside income and campaign donations. Eliminating any conflict of interests is a top priority of mine and my colleagues. The families of New York need to know that elected officials represent their interest’s not big money interests. These measures will go a long way toward bringing trust back to state government, and I will continue to fight for a more open and transparent that provides greater accountability system. ”
