Gallahan: New York State’s Donate Life Program Helps Save Lives

A statement from Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan (R,C-Manchester) in response to a press conference held in Albany on April 16, 2024, led by members of the Assembly Minority and Majority Conferences to help promote New York State’s Donate Life Registry.

“So many individuals and families out there could use our help—there are currently 7,962 patients from our state alone who are on the national organ transplant waitlist, and that list grows larger each day. I fully support the expansion of the Donate Life program to reach more people in need to prevent deaths that can be avoided with a suitable donor match and a healthy transplant. I encourage my fellow New Yorkers to register as organ and/or tissue donors today to give the gift of life to those less fortunate.”
