Assemblymember McDonald Attends Grand Re-Opening of Mokhiber’s Wine and Liquors

ALBANY, N.Y. — Assemblymember John T. McDonald III had the privilege of attending the grand re-opening of Mokhiber’s Wine and Liquors. Mokhiber’s Wine and Liquors opened in 1945, when Lebanese immigrant Edward Mokhiber, Sr. returned from World War II and opened the business on South Pearl Street in Albany. The 70-year-old store was located at 368 South Pearl Street until last month, when the new store re-opened next door to the original building. The family is committed to maintaining the business, employing members of the community and adding to the revitalization of Albany's South End.

Assemblymember McDonald was joined by Senator Neil Breslin, Assemblymember Patricia Fahy and Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan in the ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, December 9th, 2015.
