Brabenec Recognizes Pearl Harbor Day

A Statement from Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,TCN-Deerpark) on the Anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks

“Today we recognize the more than 2,000 courageous men and women who lost their lives defending our democracy and freedom during the cowardly attack on the U.S. Naval Base in Pearl Harbor 76 years ago. It is days like this that we should pause and reflect on the selfless men and women who stood tall in the face of evil to preserve the American dream.

“The brave actions of our World War II veterans and those who helped with the war effort on the home front are a brilliant example of American strength and resolve following tragedy and a reminder that we must remain vigilant and fearless in the face of contemporary forces threatening our way of life.

“On behalf of myself and the 98th Assembly District, I would like to thank and recognize all surviving World War II veterans and their families and all of our active military serving today. I encourage all New Yorkers to take a moment today to thank a veteran or active military member in your life for their courage and sacrifice.”
