Brabenec Honors Emergency Medical Services at Citi Field Event

In honor of this week’s dedication to emergency medical services personnel, Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,TCN-Deerpark) paid tribute to EMS members at a moving ceremony at Citi Field. EMS units from all over the country were in participation.

“I am so proud to stand arm in arm with our EMS personnel and privileged to have passed a resolution honoring the brave work of all our first responders,” Brabenec said. “Not many individuals have the gumption to run into dangerous situations when everyone else is running out but that is exactly what is asked from our first responders each day on the job.”

Brabenec has been a staunch proponent of police, firefighters and first responders since his election to the Assembly in 2014. He is also a lead supporter of the Blue Lives Matter bill, which would designate certain crimes against first responders as hate crimes, leading to harsher penalties.
