The Notorious Big Ugly: Norris Comments on 2017-18 State Budget

A Statement from Assemblyman Mike Norris (R,I-Lockport)

This budget is a mixed bag, yet I am pleased that our efforts have delivered results on some of the top priorities for my constituents: ride-sharing will be available this summer, modest tax relief has been provided for working families and farms, restoration of library aid, and an increase was included for direct care workers. I feel the budget could have done more to fund our schools, reduce taxes and provide mandate relief for local governments. The budget should have included more reforms to make our state more transparent and protect how tax dollars are spent.
