New York State Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, along with Assemblyman Clyde Vanel, New York State Senators Leroy Comrie, Todd Kaminsky and Elaine Phillips are holding a Belmont Park Redevelopment Listening Session on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Elmont Memorial Library, 700 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont, NY 11003-2366. The Empire State Development Corporation is drafting a ‘Request for Proposal’ to redevelop a portion of Belmont Park. This public hearing will serve as a platform for interested stakeholders and community members to relay their concerns and suggestions. Residents from the surrounding area are encouraged to participate by submitting oral or written testimony. Individuals interested in submitting oral testimony are limited to three minutes. Members of groups or other organized bodies are requested to select one spokesperson to express their views on behalf of the group. If someone would like to express their opinions but cannot make it to the event or do not want to speak publically, they can submit a written testimony of any length via email at solagesm@nyassembly.gov. The deadline to submit written testimony is Tuesday, July 11, 2017. If you would like to reach my office, please feel free to call: 516-599-2972 or email: solagesm@nyassembly.gov.
