Assemblymember Harris: FCC’s Net Neutrality Repeal Unfairly Targets Consumers
“For so many Americans, the internet is an essential resource that allows them to find jobs, learn about new opportunities for advancement and stay connected with friends, family and the world. Today, the FCC ignored the millions of comments urging them to protect Net Neutrality and instead voted to allow internet service providers (ISPs) to section off the internet, throttle speeds as they see fit and determine how you use the internet.
“Net Neutrality means our internet is free and open, and everyone can access the same information as everyone else. This decision will disproportionately impact low-income Americans and small businesses that can’t compete with large corporations and wealthy special interests. We must fight back to ensure we all remain on a level playing field.”
