Assemblyman Pete Lopez (R,C,I-Ref-Schoharie) recently met with members of the Tobacco Free Action Communities Reality youth program. The group came to the state Capitol to meet with the Assemblyman and participate in the Tobacco Control Partners Annual Legislative Education Day.

“I’m very pleased to have had the opportunity to sit with young people to discuss the harm tobacco products can inflict as well as various tobacco control programs to help New York State residents rid themselves of addiction,” said Assemblyman Lopez. “This organization is truly doing lifesaving work by reducing smoking rates and working to prevent youth from using tobacco products.”

Tobacco Free Action Communities is a program of HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, a member of Westchester Medical Center Health Network. The program serves Ulster, Dutchess and Sullivan counties.
